Author Bio

My world has been so blessed with animals. They have shaped my days, my work, and the way I understand connection, intuition, and the quiet magic woven through ordinary life.

After a wonderful and fulfilling career spanning more than 40 years as a veterinarian working in Akron, Ohio, San Francisco, and now Sonoma, California, I have witnessed moments of tenderness, resilience, and transformation that stayed with me long after each patient went home. Those lived experiences became the foundation of the stories I now write. Each chapter is a memoir at its core, drawn from the real people, animals, and seasons that shaped me.

The unique way I tell my stories comes through a fantasy narrative lens that you might find fun and exciting. I write about the emotional landscape we travel, the inner worlds we build to survive, and the way nature and spirits guide us through the complications of life. My stories blend reality with wonder, inviting readers to step into a world where the lessons are true, even when the details shimmer with imagination.

Readers who enjoy reflective, heart-centered memoirs with a touch of magic will feel at home in my work. I write for anyone who has ever loved an animal, rebuilt themselves after loss, or found meaning in the small miracles of daily life.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually walking my dog Louie, in my garden checking tomatoes and lilies, experimenting in the kitchen, hiking trails that feed my spirit, or crafting something with my hands, like making sourdough bread. I live in Sonoma with my husband, who has traveled this journey with me.

Writing has become another way I make sense of the world – transforming memory into meaning and experience into story. I hope my stories offer comfort, connection, and a reminder that our lives hold more magic than we often realize.

I hope you enjoy my book and let me know if you do.
